Default Finally Back in an XJ

Bought an awesome 2000 Cherokee Sport today. 142000 miles, auto, i6 4x4 etc. It has a Yakima rack, new tires, new battery. Only paid $3500 for it. Its so much nicer than my old 92 lol. The only pics i have are the ones he had in the ad but here it is. Tomorrow im gonna do an oil change plugs vaccuum it out etc and take some good pics.

Probably gonna do a 3" and 31's. These tires and shocks are both brand new though so im gonna get some life out of both of them before i do anything i think. Unless i find some good deals on tires/wheels.

Plus im not sure how high i can go with this low pinion 30 and ive always heard the newer xj's needed an sye if i do any kind of lift. Which isnt a huge deal but not somethin i wanna worry about right away.

Quick question...is there a difference in Starter fitment between a 1997 Cherokee i6 and a 2000? Both with the aw4.

Im lookin online at Napa and the cheapest Reman'd unit for a 2000 is $150~ish with a $60 core. But i look them up for a 1997 and its like $70 before the $50 core.

i a have a 2k xj to with the low pinion 30 and i have a 6.5" RC lift on the front and it does fine...but i think a xj looks its best with a 3" to a 4.5" lift on 31" or 32" tires myself

Oh ok well cool. Good to know. I'm assuming you have an sye on it? I'll probably be going with the common 3" and 31" tire setup. Will I need a sye at 3"?

Ok well cool I always thought the newer ones were more prone to vibrations. Damn I feel like such a noob lol. When I had my 92 I knew everything about it and lifting it and everything. But now I'm starting over and I forgot so much.
