Default Finally, 2001 5speed story

good day all ,

my name is Ahmed and I'm from the United Arab Emirates (Dubai) we have many Cherokee here the problem is hard to find clean one or 97-01(most of them older models) also its a bit expensive here ..

was looking for Limited or Manual trans ...
drive many autos but after trying a manual 95 model forget about the Limited and decide to buy 97-2001 Manual and yes its very hard to find.

after a very long search 5+ months I found this
it was from chicago (no rust at all !!) order it wait for it 40 days (shipping company was bad it should take only 25 days) but it was cheap , then fix it , it has a bad fuel bump (was not running) and very small accident see this pics

fix this accident for $ 100 in my friend father garage if fix it some where else it well cost 200-350
the cherokee was in good shape spent around $400 to service it bought fuel bump from junk yard new fuel filter, new spark plugs, new wheel baring (it was jammed), new belt and change the gauge cluster (we use KM not mile and i have a no bus problem so i change it) also install used fog lights from junk yard new was expensive !! new break pads and polish the drums, oil filter change and flush radiator also i have white smoke from ac vent, heater core was bad so i cancel the heater (no real winter in my country) pics for canceling the heater it was very easy to do it and cherokee temp become better (under the half) also the A/C is colder and i mean real cold ..

We here drive in the sand desert and beach we don't do Rubicon also its not my game so i well keep it stock for now we do hills some thing like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68Hws...ature=youtu.be and its easy for bone stock to do it , i meet many jeeps fan they advice me to raise it from rear by adding leafs , i well think about it in the future (but if i do it i well be professional rase not adding leafs .

Im now driving it every day and ignore my DD Lexus it has [IMG][/IMG] the first day i got it and in 4 month add around 7000 miles ,go to the desert twice a week, just love and enjoy driving this cherokee it drive and handle like new, the 4.0 in my opinion is a real DD .

MPG is great got 580 km per tank around 350 mile on the hight way wich is unbelievable for an 2001 SUV http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tah0w...ature=youtu.be (this to show you where is the RPM at 60

The only small problem with it in my opinion is the color i was looking for a white but hey its 5 speed 2001 so i well try to Relax ..

Nice Jeep. Looks very clean. And I think you got a great deal considering the shipping and tax cost 5300 is dirt cheap. I sent a $3500 Mustang to Europe once and the shipping + taxes on the other end of delivery were almost $2000. So I know its expensive. I am from chicago and even here its hard to find a 5speed. Hah, its hard to find a clean no rust xj for a decent price. Anyways, great deal in my opinion.

Thanx broo
shipping cost 1100 because its not running if the car run it well be cheaper $100 tax here 5% of the car value so its not that much tax in Europe is higher shipping from TX or NJ is cheaper than any where in the USA because port is near i think , i once ship a Tundra from Huston it cost me $800 RORO
