Still on the hunt and I keep seeing the faded fender trim. I have read here and there about painting them, replacing them, plastidip etc.

Which one has the best potential to work the best? How involved would the process be? I have found several XJ's that looked nice and clean then light grey fender fade.

Monstasliner! I'm about to do my whole rig. You could roll on the fenders for probably 50 - 75 bucks.

If your talking about the black plastic fender flares that fade you can use a heat gun and turn them back black.

I saw something online about them doing that. Just was curious on what was the best method people have found.

SEM has a "Bumper Coater" that brings back the black really well with very little effort.

I just put Mother's "Back to Black" on mine a couple of times a year and they stay looking fairly decent.

Just use a heat gun to turn it black again.

I taped and used spray-on bedliner on my gray plastics. After two years it still looks good.
