Okay so I am about to put on a 3" lift and 33's. I know I need to cut my fenders to fit the tires. But I do not have the money to buy flares right now. So is it possible to cut and fold my fenders now, then add on Napier (or bushwacker) flat fender flares when I get the money. Or is too much metal cut off to bolt the flares on. If anyone has experience with this it would be greatly appreciated.

 

i know with the bushwackers it uses holes on top from the stock fender flares to mount the bushwackers to.

 

here is what i did when i went to 33's on 3.5"
i needed more lift for 33's, i had 2 good options
1) buy a 4.5-5 inch lift and pay for install. and added expense of mandatory sye. and since it was gonna be a new ift it would probably be a long arm.

when stepping back and looking at it 800$ was WAY cheaper than $2,369 for lift, $480 for proper sye and $245 for protection ($3094) + shop time for 3 different parts and downtime on the dd.
just shoulda stayed on 31's!!!! with bushwackers and 31's it was fine. on bushwacker flatflare on 33's they got ripped off the jeep from the tire.

31's flat flares. perfect clearance.

33's fat flare. no good. ruined these flares

33's rusty's flares. perfect again. all on the same 3.5" lift. and you can see the jeep morph throughout its build
