Factory 4.56 axles
so i stumbled across the unicorn of factory jeep parts today in the junkyard.
2.5 automatic XJ
and the proof, upper left hand corner of the tag, reads 4.56
too bad its a disconnect dana 30 front and dana 35 rear. this is the first time i've ever seen this factory gear ratio though

nope, its not half day for a while and they want $200 and axle. $400 for a disconnect 30 and dana 35 doesnt sound very appealing haha. i will gladly tell anyone in SoCal which junkyard you could find the XJ in.

And you aren't snatching EVERY 8.8 out to resale? $100 at Harbor Freight for a small generator and $50 for a decent angle grinder would let you chop u-bolts all day long. Heck, set them up with perches and shock mounts for an XJ and you'd be making even more money...
