Fabbing out long arms and steering linkages
How hard is it to fab out arms and linkages. I am fairly new to fab work most extensive I've done are a hand full of prerunner cages (not score approved) and bumpers. Also what materials am I going to use.
I am pretty sure I want to use Dom tubing but what diameter and thickness also is there a company to buy threaded bungs and heims you prefer.

I am in the process of building me some long arms. I use 2 inch DOM with .250 inch wall. And I used some rubber rod ends from teraflex.

contact Dan at ruffstuff.
best guy to talk to and awesome Prices.
DOM 2"x0.250" lowers MIN, I would even go as far as 2"x0.375" and uppers you can get away with 1.5"x0.188 but I would go 1.5"x0.250"
steering
1.5"x0.250" or 1.25"x0.250" would be recommended.

x2 what 96 said. I'm running Dan's heims on my steering and used 1.5x.250 wall DOM for my steering. Unless it's offroad only I wouldn't run heims on both ends of suspension links because it will be a harsh ride. You can run heims on one end and rubber bushings on the other. Jonny joints also work great for link ends and are rebuildable.

also if you do an otk set up your going to have to get rid of your sway bar links.

What is the steering setup called when the tierod go from knuckle to knuckle and the drag link connect at the knuckle? Is this the best setup to run?
