Yep! I like trains! Some folks put a winch on their Jeeps...I want a cattle-catcher on mine! I'd settle for a snow plow...which is a legit Jeep accessory..but not for snow...to plow other cars off the road with in traffic. No snow in Phoenix!

Maybe yours is 150. Mine dyno'd at 274HP.

I thought it sounded like 500 sewing machines in a Chinese sweatshop.

I am good with that...industrial sewing machines are about 1/2 hp... x500 = 250 hp.

I'm sure that means that OP also made 274hp.

Nope. About 170hp...but that low RPM torque sure is nice! When I start getting some cash flow, I probably won't do much to it to gain hp, but I will try to gain better gas mileage. Headers, cat-back, maybe a cold-air box. Perhaps some 4 hole injectors too. K.I.S.S.

Thats actually not that loud, mine has just the cat(which im pretty sure is completely hollow as I cant see anything in it) Its loud as ****, like my boss knows when I get to work by hearing me pull up. I like it sometimes, almost sounds like its SC'd when I rev it and let off.

I meant on a dyno haha. I'd be shocked if you made more than 130whp.

But yeah, your rig doesn't sound too loud. Maybe worse when driving? It just sounds broken now.

It is a good running, stock 4.0. Probably not too different than your two jeeps. There is a lot of external issues with it that I need to deal with, but $ is the limiting factor.

I mostly started this thread cus my exhaust sound set off the alarm of some uppity Xterra.

This tempts me to take the muffler off too. It might just fall off on its own, saving me the labor.

I will probably put a cherry-bomb on it and route it out behind through 2.5" pipe. Phx cops are dix and will probably hassle me if it is too loud..

as long as there's a cat, muffler, and tailpipe they can't do much. Unless the break out the decibel reader haha.

150 HP? What's wrong with your 4.0L, K&N clogged?

Low-revving engines sound much better than this buzzy weed whacker ****. I don't even know what my Jeep sounds like over 4000 RPM... only reason I ever took it that high was diagnostic. I intend to place a diesel in it so the redline is even lower.

My custom stroker made 285Hp and sounds like a healthy Diesel with cat back exhaust once revved. Then again, it started life as a tractor motor.
As for 4cyls, I had a 92 Eagle Talon TSi w/EVO III 4G63T motor and an American exhaust system (Heddman Headers and a Flowmaster 44 muffler.) Sounded like a healthy V-6 not like a runaway Briggs n Stratton.

I had a glass pack on it for a while, that also ended up getting ripped off lol. This jeep just wants to be loud lol.
