Ha, yep. My friends did Engineer Pass a few years ago in a rental GC. It was a little tougher than they expected. They ripped off part of the plastic air dam. Got some sheet metal screws at Wal-Mart and reattached it before they returned it, and I don't think the place noticed or charged them.

 

That was a buddy of mine. I actually bought that XJ from him later on.

so darn close. I later came back and made it no problem with 35's.
33's suck!

 

 

I tried a different line... it didn't go as planned.


He was close, but the mud won.


We rescued this guy after a failed attempt at the tubes (this is typical for this obstacle btw).




Locker issues, but he got out on his own, so a momentary stuck really.

Which turned into a lot of winching...


Locker issues + ice = winch. We hooked up the above broken XJ to the FSJ and winched them pretty far through the trail. It was a very long day.


Bead off in a crappy spot.


Stuck, but I don't remember on what.

whose XJ is that with the yellow rock rings? that thing is freakin sweet. do you have more pics? or a build thread or something. I think I see a 44/9 under there

 

That's my buddy John. When I get home I'll post some more pics of his rig as it looks different now. It's a 44/9 combo and he doesn't have a build thread.
