Ever seen a unibody tear?
The 73-87 gm 4x4 trucks will crack the frame around the steering box from stress. The 88-98 gm truck 4x4 front half of the frame will break off just behide the upper a arm mounts.

I used to have to plate all the frames on my 1 ton tow trucks in CO. that I used for recovery work. They would bend and flex till they finally broke usually between the cab and wrecker body. Not much rust there no salt used then only cinders and broken windshields, glass shops were happy lol.
man, thats scary...could the same thing happen i you were the one being pulled? i guess ill just be careful this winter as i usually have to pull at least one car out of a snowbank (not too stuck...just on a patc of ice or 2wd, etc)

Look at this. This just shows what enough force in the wrong direction can do to you. His whole axle got ripped out, and most likely, he got unibody damage too:

Absolutely. Enough force, if you're stuck enough, can make the unibody give way. Look at this. This just shows what enough force in the wrong direction can do to you. His whole axle got ripped out, and most likely, he got unibody damage too: https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...3J--g_yI#t=110

These might be cheaper insurance, LOL http://www.quadratec.com/products/92...FcZQ7AodUFQAWw
That video pissed me off so bad
WTF did that idiot take off at 100 mph for?
Many different kinds of vehicles would have been damaged taking off so fast while the vehicle is stuck and pulling at an awkward angle.
