Don't soak the airbox. You can spray it off.

Get the engine hot, spray the engine while it's running and still hot, let it sit for a few, spray it off.

I use this stuff and swear by it. No elbow grease required.

Don't breath it in when you spray it. It burns.

WD40

Seriously... Youtube it. It works amazing. I will never use any other product or degreaser. Ever.

WD40 is safe on wires, hoses, everything. Spray it down, use a brush to scrub the dirt, then wipe if clean with a shop towel.

Cleaning your engine bay is work!

I never liked the idea of shooting water all over an engine with exposed wiring. Plus, degreaser will dry out your hoses.

No, just don't soak the **** out of it and it'll be fine.

I've never had one single issue lightly spraying cleaner off. My hoses and wiring have survived just fine.

If you want to spend 3 hours scrubbing it I'm sure WD40 will work just fine.

O'Reilly AutoParts sells B52 in the spray bottle and gallon jug.

Engine hot, spray it on, let it sit, spray it off. Done.

Pow!

i've never heard that before, but its not like hoses were meant to last forever anyways. i've pressure washed every engine in every car/truck i've owned with no problems. its hard to **** up washing an engine, unless the person washing it is a **** up to begin with.
