Default empty pocket in cargo area

can anybody give me a rough dimension of the pocket im gunna make a fold down locking door over it but i dont have my jeep tonight and i want to start working on itso i can put it together tomarrow.

no.... but i have made one for my jeep... i used a door hinge on the bottom and bolted it through the trim then added eyelets and hooks for the latches figured if im only going to have straps and bungees i wont need a lock... makes the space so much cleaner

what i am going to do is cut out a piece of square aluminum to cover all four ends cut it down the middle and put hinges on it and put a lock from my toolbox in it

i definitely will post pics.if i get the measurements from someone i can get it all cut out tonight and tomorrow i am going to a flea market to look for a cb i will get some hinges and through it all together real quick b4 my 4th party

good luck trying to find someone who will take 2 mins to get off their couch at home walk outside with a tape and measure it and post the sizes.... oh and good luck on the build

ok here it is, about 10 and a half inchs top to bottom, 13 and 3quarter topside to side, 7 and a half bottom side to side.

I have only had my XJ a short time, but was just looking at that pocket last night at the drive-in movies. I was wondering why it is there with seemingly no use.

I think y'all have a good ides there & I am going to put a door on mine too.
i also noticed a small storage area under the back seat for my tire plug kit & some tow straps.
