I won't lie only parts edelbrock i have right now are a set of big block ford heads because i found them in a junkyard lol.And for the 429-460 they flow better then most of the oem heads out there. The supercharger kit i would like to see what kinda power it makes and what they charge for it.And if it has a after cooler or not.

No haven't tried that alumn 4.0L head.
Russ Pottenger, 4.0L/stroker builder extraordinaire, did a lot of testing on one vs. his iron ported big valve head. Search jeepstrokers or naxja. Lots of pics and flow numbers.
He sold one to guy in CA and he couldn't get the engine to run worth a beans. IDK if it was related to the head or cam. And he sold the head.
As much as I like it, I am concerned about such a long alumn head and only 4 bolts per cylinder. Alumn head on iron block. Yeah lots of engines have alumn head on iron block but their head is at least 12" shorter. I'm not convinced.
I have been using the new bare Clearwater aftermarket head and stuffing it with 2.02"/1.62" Mopar valves and ported and using Lunati springs for Ford 4.6L modular motors (100seat/235@0.500")and hemi retainers and locks. Minimize shrouding with 0.060" overbore.
Very light valvetrain. Valves 2.02"=116g, 1.62"=90g, springs=71g, retainers=16g, locks=3g. Harland sharp 1.7:1 roller rockers and CM pushrods.

Very interesting reply Marty thanks for sharing your combo in valve train setup.
I have ran aluminum heads for quite a few years but only 3 different brands AFR, Brodix, Dart most blocks have been Dart. I try for a lightweight valve train also in my twin turbo SBC with 18* Dart heads and titanium as much as I could afford.
Racing engines of any kind are expensive all depends on how fast you want to go or can afford lol. My days of racing are done weekend entry fees, fuel and weekly upkeep amounted to $4-600 if nothing broke, then spare parts. We won't talk about the tow truck and trailer, Motor Home.
But I loved it for almost 47 yrs and still do, just can't seem to be able to sell my last race car.
