I want to get the ARB snorkel for my jeep here pretty soon but the ARB's are all around 400 shipped. The eBay ones look exactly the same but are only 120 shipped. Anyone run one of the eBay ones or knows of anyone who has?
I got mine as a Christmas gift from my gf. It's an amazon.com one it was 120 plus 30 bucks shipping. It's all about installation on how well it'll work. On mine I put it all together and silaconed everything so literally it is water tight and I'd trust it. Never had to use it yet but I'm confident that how I installed it it will work just as fine as the expensive ones.

A guy hooked me up with that pic a while back helped me install mine cause it doesn't come with any instructions just a big flat template to drill the holes! I figured I'd save it for someone else's mquestions later. And yea everyone locally told me to turn it backwards but I have no problems with it. If water makes it all the way to the engine there's a problem. And every heavy rain here in the Deep South louisiana is only 2-4 in of rain. Witch equals out to not that much geting in. Your motor would burn it off while running. I suppose!!! Lol

I bought one on ebay for $130 havent installed it but the quality is identical to ARB I mean theyre both plastic these are just clones. For a $400 ARB your just buying the brand really.

Some of these clones are made here in the USA (mine was) and I have compared both snorkels bud, they are identical. Id say the only difference is the hose that comes with an ARB is better but you can always buy a heavy duty hose at a hardware store.

USA manufactured? Show me..
I'v owned ARB snorkel on my XJ for 12 years, son's YJ for 5. Installed several others.
To date i'v installed two of the Chinese copies... again, nothing even close to ARB's quality.
Speaking of the hose.. what did you do to get it snugly attached to the snorkel body?
I get the whole savings thing. But please dont go making statements that the copies are as or even near the quality of the ARB's.

^^ x2 on this. I'm going to be buying a spectra cowl snorkel in a few months. I will never need a snorkel that goes up to the roof because without waterproofing the entire engine and electrical you're still gonna be stuck with a flooded XJ and motor.

I have it and don't have any complaints. I bought it from the CF vendor here for $120 w/ free shipping. I don't like the under the fender air hose, so I'm going to cut a hole and pretty much go directly into the air box.
