what does the conversion change to make the engine capable of running e85? will it run more like a diesel? idk much about e85 prices so is it cheaper then regular gasoline?

It increases the duty cycle of the injector , it sprays a little longer for the e85. It wont run like a diesel, most have reported the same performance and a increase of 2mpg on the highway. Depending on your area, e85 is a bit cheaper than 87. It gets really tricky when you try to take advantage of it on a performance vehicle like my 04 cobra. ive spent a lot of time researching it for my cobra. There is someone im talking to that make 100 more rwhp on his 03 cobra but extensive fuel mods are needed. Injectors, Twin high flow fuel pumps and Custom dyno tuning with sct software to take advantage of the 105 octane e85 provides.

E85 has 15% less energy density than Regular Gas. It is also ~106 Octane, this means that to get any performance from it you will have to deck your head or somehow increase your Chamber pressures. A loss in MPG is the only thing I would expect with E85 unless you do extensive mods (Cam, Timing, Compression, ETC), It will also eat any non-compatable rubber/plastic compounds (Fuel lines, FPR Diaphram, ETC).

Not with a supercharged motor the only mods i will be doing is increasing boost with a lower pulley. I already have a upper pulley, i will be pushing 21 psi and a lot of timing. I know it is corrosive and am told you need to change the fuel filter with a different element inside. All the lines on the 03 /04 cobra should be fine.
My reply was in reference to the jeep..
In a built up car, High Comp, Blown, ETC. Most likely, but in a car designed for 87 Octane (jeep) you will lose mpg.
