So I have replaced about every sensor, vacuum hose, flushed the radiator, replaced the water pump, thermostat and thermostat housing. Now, unlike before, the XJ runs hot. I have burped the system, but what I noticed is my electric fan does not turn on unless the sensor is unplugged (throws a code) or the A/C is on. Is there a way to fix this, or run a toggle switch (without getting the code)?

 

No one has had this problem?

 

Possibly bad temp sensor. Check the sensor and the wiring

 

Sensor is good, still running down the wiring.

 

there are 2 temp sending units one in front for the computer & the one in back for the gauge
