Totally man... if I counted all the money I've spent on things I bought for cars that I later changed my mind on I'd go insane, it's all part of it. And don't worry, there are way worse mistakes you'll make and learn from along the way, trust me! I wouldn't count this one, it does do some good.

You got the right idea too, its usually harder to figure out or undo something someone else has already screwed up, I'd rather do it myself that way I know the history. Or if you meant learn from others experience rather than spend money, it definitely helps, but in the end you have to find a lot of wrong ways to do things and then one day it'll just click and you won't necessarily know how to fix everything but you'll know how to approach it, or not approach it.... if that makes sense.

X2. The XJ Wagoneers and XJ Laredos are a prime example of tastefiul factory chrome on a Jeep.
I've been hunting in the JY looking for the window moldings, wagoneer tail lights, chrom grille, mirrors, and jeep logo over the lisence plate to install on my Jeep but all of the ones I find are either broken, scratched up, or spotted...

One of the most pointless mods IMO is switching from a regular sealed beam headlight to the "highly praised" silverstar sealed beams. There is no difference and they don't look like HIDs. If you want to do a proper HID setup and actually see the road better at night, retrofit some projectors into a set of ebay H4 housings and install real HID bulbs and ballasts (preferrably in the 4300k-6000k color temp range. anything higher than that is POINTLESS and stupid looking)

I disagree. I put in SS's to replace the old wagner lights. There is a very noticeable difference. They have a further beam distance and a whiter look as opposed to yellow.

I like them. I dont need HID's and wont pay the money for them either.

X2 I don't ever even think about buying extra lights when using them. They are plenty.

I think these are absolutely stupid and ugly there is a grand Cherokee at my school that has euro tails and every now and again it has some mud on it. But you can tell the jeep has never really been wheeled. Bc he wouldve learned that stock tails are a lot cheaper to replace.

So true. But it is actually worth the extra little bit to get the crystal housings because the pattern they throw is much better. Plus $55 for lights that will last 10 x longer than silver star sealed beams isn't bad. Silver stars are what $20 a price and you replace them every two to three years? I'm going hid from DDM!

Crystal housings are great with halogen bulbs but I wouldn't pair HIDs with them. They will cause glare and blind oncoming traffic. If you retrofit a set of headlight projectors, you won't run into that problem because of the sharp glare cutoff they provide. DDM sells some great HID kits and they are backed with a lifetime warranty. Just remember not to get anything higher than 6000k. I have a 6000k Xentec HID kit paired with retrofitted projectors and the setup is great. I've been running it for 7 months and everything works as it should.

Remember to repack them every time you cross water otherwise you'll end up sounding like a car from the fast and the furious. Lmao

Stuffing cheap HID's into H4 housings.
Stupid and illegal.
