Dumbest jeep experience ever!!!!

OK, so called Jeep customer service to get a build sheet since I know you can call GM to get them rather than just email.

I gave her the last 8 of VIN, she couldn't pull it up. Asked for year: 1986 and make: Cherokee, then asked......

IS THAT A GRAND CHEROKEE!!!!!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they start making GRAND Cherokee's in 1993?

She might not have been working there in 1993; either that, or, having worked in a call center, she might not have been 100% up on EVERYTHING.

OK, I'm an old guy and I thought that maybe it was just me getting pissy in my later years, but that question always annoys the hell out of me. If I wanted a part for a Grand Cherokee I would have said so. What is really annoying, is once I was asked if I was sure it wasn't a Grand Cherokee.
