Tires rarely measure out to what they say. Most 33s actually are closer to 32s. All that's been said in this thread still applies

still really havent made up my mind. right now its between 31s, 32s, or 33 10.5s. all in various brands from bfg to kumho to firestone. price shopping around and it seems all the shops want around 150 to 200 installed per tire, so not a huge difference. I just cant seem to make up my mind with the sizing

I'd skip 32 all together, but that's just me. I love my 33x10.50s

I didn't even like 31s with stock gears. That sucked to me so I can imagine 33s with stock gears. I got 31s after I lifted it, then two years later (earlier this year) got 31s again, well I got a pretty decent paying Job over the summer, regeared and locked and now I'm running 4.56 on 31s which isn't terrible, but it doesn't get great mileage highway driving. If I'm 60 or under I can get like 14-15 if I go over 60 it's like 12, but I can actually accelerate uphill in 4th gear.

How is it driving? Is it a complete slug or doable. The 33 10.5 is my #1 choice

As you can see in this thread it is completely subjective. But for being your daily, I would think you would want to ride smoothly with good milage. What I would do is put 31s, and by the time they wear out you will have saved enough for 33s and gears or if you save up sooner just sell the 31s since they are in high demand. You would just be putting strain on your components by going 33s without regearing

I live off the beach where everything is flat but it picks up just fine in stop and go traffic and I don't regret driving over an hour at 65mph. I haven't had the chance to drive it on road in hilly areas or for longer than an hour so I can't help you there. But at Rausch it was great, I can see how the lower gear ratio would let me crawl better without as much gas but it's not worth the money to me for regearing. I trailer mine to Rausch and it just sees the road on my days off now. I've read of builds where people wheel 35s with 3.07 gearing and doing blacks but they must just not care. I'd recommend getting a tranny cooler though if you DD yours just to be safe with the larger tires.

So i had to put my spare on today which is a brand new 31 and it actually looks pretty good. Maybe my tires are so worn out is the reason they look so tiny and I want 33s. I feel like if I went with 31s in say bfg the more aggressive tire and being new might look pretty good. I really like how it drives now. Good power and alright mileage so yeah, putting on 33s would look good but kill everything else.

Commuting every couple months to school 350 miles away was one of the reasons I went with new 31s before 33s when my first used set were worn. I sold them once I got an offer on the 33s I couldn't refuse because it's always easier to sell hardly used tires vs worn ones.

Okay so yeah I will probably go with 31s now, maybe 32s just maybe. Now I just gotta decide on a tire lol I had kumho 31s that I loved but they got replaced with a new style that I may try as the reviews are really good. Or if I can get a good deal on bfgs I'll do that.

Man that's terrible dude!
There's has to be something wrong that's allowing that low of mileage...when I swapped from 3.07s to 4.10s my mpg went considerably up 5-6 mpgs...
3.07s with 32 sucked with the 5speed...
