I can too but it is almost always intentional with these 265 mudders

haha nice...same here, except the guy came out saying, how funny it was too see

I also found a big *** parking lot in the winter...so me a some friends were there for a couple hours. At one point I was drifting circles around 2 of my parked friends...and then we saw, security...and we knew who else was probably on the way...so we boogied out of there, rather quickly

I screw around like that all the time if it's wet out in every rear wheel drive vehicle I own. The most fun vehicle was my 1997 D3500, 4x4 extended cab V10 5sp dually. (165" wheel base)

Coming to the XJ, the first time I did it, I forgot that the wheel base is so short and damn near looped it in downtown Baton Rouge traffic. Managed to execute a perfect drift onto the on ramp without hitting anything and off I went luckily.

I did it all winter long, and some in the rain. I'm not really doing it since I got the 31's. Afraid I'll break something in the rear end.

And with an LSD, a locker, a welded diff, or a spool it will drift (at will) no matter what the surface is. Just need more power on dry pavement.

Mine will do it whenever I tap the gas a little to hard. the best time is when I come out on to the street, after offroading, when the tires are coverd with mud. I will slide all over the road for about half a mile.

Cheap A/T's on dry gravel makes for some excellent drifting, haha!

What are you kidding? Of course they can drift. My 84 with 2.8GMV6(briggs@stratton) and slippin 3 speed auto, 3.73 gears, and 31in Wild Country TXRs can drift on gravel roads, parking lots, snow covered anything, etc. If this one can do it, then any of the other Cherokees can do it. Well a crappy tuned, Carter carbed 2.5 can have a hard time breakin em on pavement. but gravel roads are a blast. specially with a manual.
