Default Doorless XJ

I am trying to convince my dad to let me take the doors off my XJ. He says that if I take the doors off, then if I am on a trail ten a limb could come up and "stab through me"(?) and if I am driving down the road and get hit, I will die. Can anyone help me with this?

if it's your jeep. Just do it.... if ur dad bought it for you, that's a different story. But really, if he really doesn't want you to, just don't. it's not like it's limiting your jeeps capabilities.

Just try to convince him to help you make some half doors, i think that would be a nice compromise.

Just wear a seatbelt youll be fine. in a wreck youd get cut up a little more but i dont see it really really hurting you, Plus if you were conscious itd be easier to get out lol

I have been in rain several times. Never had an issue.

If it was so dangerous, why are all the Wranglers doorless?

This ^. In Washington state you can be ticket for no doors if the vehicle didn't come from the factory with removable doors. But honestly unless your a dick to a cop you probably won't be cited for it

The seals arent effected by making your doors removable, its the fact that most people dont re-adjust their doors (like me) and they leak. Mine leak like a SOB but thats because ive yet to take the time to properly adjust the doors.

That's exactly what I asked him and he said they're built a lot different. But whatever. I guess I'll just go with the getting out reason.
