I think the 97 was the year that they changed the hinges so it would depend if you have the old style or new style. I'm not positive on that but I think that's how it is.

Right they changed the hinges in 97. Ive heard of people with 97's that had the old style hinges. So you would have to look to see what style you have

Shouldn't make a difference. All you have to do is unplug the connectors behind the kick panel when you pull the door off
