Does your Jeep ever have these little things pop up? For instance, I got ready to leave work yesterday and my passenger power window wouldn't go down. I get home, take the panel off, check all the connections, motor etc. I called about a replacement, put it all back together, start it to pull in the garage and then my window works.
Little things happen, you check things, but not really fix anything and then it works. I think my Jeep just wants attention sometimes.

Yeah they develop personalities. Occasionally my light will go out in my auto shift indicator and I'll tap it. Reminds me of the Millennium Falcon in Star Wars. In one of the movies the hyperdrive went out and Han hit the panel and it came back on. Made me laugh.

Odds are your window stopped working because the wires running between the driver's door and body (in that rubber boot) are starting to fray and break. And in your wiggling things around. the wires ends where lucky enough to touch again. Next time your window stop working. Check there with a volt meter.

After my wife and I got married my father gave us his old Corolla. The PO must have done some cruddy wiring work when he installed the radio and speakers cause you'd take a left turn and the radio would go out. Then turn the windshield wipers on and it would come back. All kinds of weird stuff.like that.
