Default Does anybody have the Genright optional gas tank

I am not sure whether this should be in the stock or modified discussion, but did not find any information using the search option. Has anybody got the following gas tank and if you did was it worth the $1,000.00 they are charging for it?

30 gallons of gas would sure be handy.

22 gallons out of the stock tank isn't enough? what would one be doing to need the extra 8 gallons?

Yes a lot of money for it but if you had an Overland rig in the outback or Africa maybe. But we carry spare fuel when going camping for a few weeks for the Jeep and the RZR before we sold it we took them both on a trailer behind the MH with 1 or 2 55 gal drums of fuel depending on where we were going.

I like to desert run and carrying 2 extra gas cans is almost necessary. The idea of having 30 gallons AND 2 jerry cans just seems to be an insurance policy.

fair enough. I was present for an install, but not working. it looked pretty cut and dry. the funny thing is, the guy that swapped his couldn't afford to fill it up all the way when gas got expensive haha.

Skid plate as well...

I thought, holy crap $999 but I guess with the skid plate that makes it a little better.
