Smile Do you have wheel spacers?

HELP! Bought a stock 01 XJ 4x4, added a 3" RC lift, 16" rims, 265 75R16 tires. Now the tires rub on the sway bar when making really hard turns, seems ok on regular road curves. Suggestions?

You're probably rubbing on the LCA's, not the sway bar. But to answer your question, you have 2 options: 1. wheel spacers. Some will tell you to never run them as they're a death trap. This is a rare thing. I personally have them (1.25") and have wheeled with them numerous times. I've had zero issues. Reason for this is simple - I bought quality spacers (spidertrax) and every time I rotate my wheels (every 6k miles) I check the torque on the spacers. Do this and you'll be fine. 2. Buy new rims with proper backspacing.

We have a Rough Country lift and were thinking about Rough Country spacers, any safety issues or performance issues with Rough Country spacers?

RC spacers are fine. Just do like "no rdplz" said and keep them properly torqued and you will be happy.

Y'all are so helpful, I appreciate your advise. What would I do without Cherokeeforum.com and you?

SpyderTrax closing on 100000 miles problem free, eliminated my lca rub as intended. As mentioned previous, keep em torqued checked.

Is it rubbing on the passenger side only? I had that problem with a 3 inch lift, and it was because if the factory track bar. I bought an adjustable track bar and fixed the problem. ... I also did wheel spacers on that jeep, but it was simply to make it look better!

I would've went with a 245/75 r16 on a 3 inch lift with stock rims but you could probably increase the steering stops too if it's only doing it a full lock.

Ive had a set for a couple years. Ive only put maybe 6000 miles one them but i rarely check them and didnt even loctite them. Ive broke a rear ujoint doing a burnout on pavement and other stupid things and theyve held up fine. except the threads stripped but thats nothing.
