Do I stand a chance?
So a guy that has a lifted grand cherokee told me today that I won't survive Rausch Creek with my 3.55 gears, 3" lift, and 31 inch grabber AT2's. Any truth to this? I thought I would be ok.

It's not always if the rig is good enough, its usually the driver that should be judged if he is capable enough to do a specific trail. I've seen a stock XJ's with a good driver do things that heavily modified XJ's had trouble with or couldn't do at all. It's the driver not the Jeep he drives.

X2 on it being on the driver. A rig is only as good as the person who is driving. My xj is only at 3.5" with 31's and my friends xj is sitting on 8" of lift with 34's and while wheeling together we can do the same things even though his is much heavier built then mine.

70% driver, 30% vehicle. If you're a smooth driver that thinks before mashing the loud pedal, you may be ok. Know your limitations and your rig's limitations. Remember it's off roading, not drag racing. No need to set low ETA on the trail. Some guys can run 35s with a D35 and have no issues, while others will pop axle shafts like toothpicks with stock tires.
