Any time you put on a lift kit, you do need to get an alignment. I've read that you need to get it professionally done the first time, but future adjustments can be done by yourself.

x2. a lot of shops don't know how to align with a lift kit, so they'll only get it close. i had to readjust mine.

IF you Change almost anything the front suspension, lifting or just maintenance, other than shocks. You should do an alignment. DO IT YOURSELF, especially if your Jeep is lifted. Unless you go to a shop the specializes in 4x4 and Off-Road rigs, DIY will be better and more accurate. For a stock rig any shop will do. Do to liability issues most shops can only set alignment to the STOCK specifications.
