do i miss four wheeling ? do you ?
since i sold my heavily built cj-7 5 years ago ive only been out one time riding shotgun w/ a old buddy at rausch creek in pa. for a weekend. ive never had my 98 xj out , except for a little snow play , close to home. but its onlt got a 4" lift w/ 31's, open diffs, no winch , its not nowhere near the capability the cj had w/ 37's, locked diffs, winch , a smallblock, etc etc. i could run red trails w/ it. my xj would be on greens & blues , maybe a easy black. so theres lots of things i miss about wheelin' but lots i dont. does anyone here relate to my dilema ? i wont go, but then i dont.

You don't have to have a hardcore built rig to go wheeling. I wheeled my XJ bone stock for a while, and had a lot of fun doing it. My XJ is still very mildly built, but capable of running every trail around here I've tried so far. I'd go crazy if I didn't go wheeling, I love it.

Nope, I don't miss it. I work out in the woods and the only road into my place is a 4WD trail (old logging road but not passable in 2wd). Nothing real hardcore but the bottom half of my road is usually either real muddy or under water (except in the really dry months).

I miss it, but the only person who will ever go with me is my dad and i like going way out in the middle of nowhere, and both our vehicles are stock. Mines a 90 XJ and he has a 08 ram 1500.

yes i do miss it ,but where i live in md theres no legal places to go that isnt 2 hrs away . so it becomes a real production to go, then theres always that chance of breaking something. didnt matter when i trailered the cj to wheelin parks, but that trailer is gone too. so 100 miles from home w/ a broke xj you cant drive home would really be a big problem. i quess i dont miss it enough to want to end up in that kinda mess. you know what i mean.
