Do accumulators come pre-filled with oil...?

Do accumulators come pre-filled with oil...?
Installed New accumulator on 97 jeep cherokee sport 4.0l. Do they come pre-filled with oil? If not, where on the accumulator do I fill the oil?

No, usually not.
I just fill it ontop of the compressor (cant remember if it is the low or high side) and that hasn't failed me yet...
As long as it is in the system it should distribute in a few minutes or so once the compressor clicks on.
