300 bucks for a windshield? You need to shop around some and find a less expensive shop.

Got my windshield for 185 installed.. You need to look around as stated. Go buy a dimond coated drill bit intended for glass and then lightly bore out the pit. after that use a small portion of epoxi or super glue. That will or atleast should slow down the cracking accross the entire effin shield.

I have seen in walmart a DIY kit to fix that. It was in a small yellow package.

thats who i spoke with and got a discount for having usaa but usaa would not pay for any of it...did your mom go through insurance or straight to safelite...and them being nationwide is a plus...the repair has lifetime warranty and if im not satisfied with repair or it fails the repair amount is credited to purchase of new windshield that has lifetime warranty on seals...but i been driving around for a year and its starting to spread so i gotta do something
