Default Distributor waterproofing?

How have you guys done it? I need a way to make mine at the least water-resistant. The water I will be driving through isn't that deep, but I imagine, splashes and waves from vehicle motion could potentially get in there, so I'd like any ways possible to aid in this. It will prevent a mile hike carrying a hundred pounds of kayak gear at over 9,000ft

theres alot more to worry about if your going to go threw water that can get to the distriibutor. but if the water isnt too deep , just go threw it slow and dont make it splash up.

at 1:38 is the river crossing. The part we don't see is the deepest, also funny shot of a 'yota being pulled out of it, lol. I'm pretty sure if I were to stand in it, it would come up to just above my knees.

It certainly won't submerge the distributor, and I'm planning on getting a snorkel(this is not the only river crossing I will do, just the first)

that part at 1.44 is nothing to be worried about. but if your going to start doing alot of river crossings and things you have waterproof alot, the ecm, distributor, intake, the gearhousing breathers, pretty much anything electrical, i think there is a write up on her about it.

no definitely not worried about the part at 1:44,
This is a much better video of the crossing. This is exactly what I am looking to do.

Thanks for that, I've never seen that post before... Making me reconsider the hike, which I can attest to, sucks, and then you get to run a mile of class V 400 FPM whitewater.

the mojave river is a local hangout spot 2 miles from my house with plenty of water to get stuck in that i drive thru almost daily and the first thing that will limit you is the air filter. i was worried about the distributor also but i havent ever had a problem with water in the distributor or the computer and dont even dare worrying about the alternator. my dad drives his jeep down there and has since high school, (his ****** was his first car and he still has it)
it took 15 years for the water to finally mess up the Bearings in the alternator.
im not just guessing or talking out my butt about this its something i do almost daily
