Did I pay too much?
Hello:
I recently bought a 1994 Jeep Cherokee SE.
It is pretty basic, white. The outside is in pretty good shape with no dents, etc. Minor rust here and there, a little hail damage but overall solid. The underbody has the typical rust these Jeeps are known for but not that bad.
The interior is very clean, nice. It has a whole new exhaust system from front to back, new water pump, engine looks good. Runs excellent, 4WD works, all that. The engine has 140,000 miles.
It will need new tires and brakes eventually. It drives and shifts great and has the HO engine. Overall not bad, I paid $2200 for it.
What do you guys think?
Thanks

Pretty good price. At least in my book it is. What other vehicle can you get for 2200 dollars that still has over 300k left in it? You can pay 30k for a brand new vehicle that wont last as long as the Jeep you just bought.

yea that sounds about right, i just bought mine a few weeks ago, its a 96 cherokee country, really clean, minimal rust (for a wisconsin vehicle), 141k, new tires, for $2500. so for the cost of new tires and brakes we probably paid close to the same price.
