Default Diaper Style Rear Tire Carrier

So I have seen a write up on this before on cherokee forum and I saw one today in person. I like the way they look and like that I could easily build one. I just want to know what the pros and cons are and if anyone has a link to a build on one I would like to see that too. Thank you and here is a picture of what I mean.

Yeah 700 bucks is cheap for a tire carrier,My only thing would be trying to lift it up with a big tire on it.I seen one for a k5 blazer that used some kinda lift assist made in to it tho.

That one is nice but I don't like how its a square. I would want a little more of a point to mine. But I might contact him to get his swing down design.

It would hang me up everywhere. I put my tire in the back.

I saw a guy that had one, he kept ripping the mount off. So he made a skid plate for the tire. Worked well, but still caught on everything.

Yeah that seems like it would be a big problem. But with the popularity of these things I would think it must not be that big of a problem.

Well I know the cons with them. I will never run them. And no one can persuade me otherwise.

I've seen JK's with these designs. I think it would all depend on where and how you wheel. If you think it would hurt your deproach angle, I wouldn't get one.
