Default Detours USA Tailbone Installed

I was going to do a whole write up on the installation, but the instructions off the detours website are detailed and accurate.
http://www.detoursusa.com/tailbone_install.php
MY TIPS:
-if you have a hitch, pull it completely off and put on the backside of the bumper first. I didnt take it off, then couldnt fit the back piece on. So I had to pull it all apart and it just ate up extra time.
-it took my about 6 hours to install
-I did a lot of spray-paint and then clear coat, and I still had to touch it up afterwards. If you can get it powder coated.
- I just moved my license plate over, used the two stock holes. Then put some double sided tape on the back for the other side. I have a 32x11.50 tire and you can clearly read the plate.
- If I did it over again, I would have painted my stock bumper white. I think it would shown the tire carrier a little better.

these pics arent the best, but show the finished product.

I think this is what i want to go with as well. Good price and good weight in comparison with the whole bumper system

Just put mine on about 3 weeks as well. I love it! I didn't have to take my hitch off though. I slid the inner bumper plate down from above the hitch and it fit in perfectly. Looks good though - you did a good job!

I love the Backbone and Tailbone systems they offer. Will really make my goal of keeping the Jeep moderately OEM looking a cinch.
