Default Detours Rear Tire Carrier

I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the Detours tire carrier.

I am interested in it, and have a couple of questions about it. The questions are in the image below:

My main concerns have to do with the ability to open and close the back hatch, and those cheesy flame decals.

I'm not interested in completely ugly rear bumper tire carriers nor am I interested in trailer hitch versions. I like the Detours because it bolts right up the factory bumper mounts and allows you to keep the factory looking bumper.

I can't imagine that they would make a rear tire carrier and not take into consideration the rear tailgate. I'm sure it clears fine even by just looking at that picture.

The flames can just be grinded off ...

Thankyou for your interest first off, I'm always available by email or phone to answer any of these types of questions......I don't bite!

While some feel the flames are out of place, others did'nt....but, they were deleted 2 years ago, it was an option to keep them or loose them, trimming them off was done at the shop in advance of shipping, I've since deleted them.....
.
The hatch clears, it's tight.....as it should be, but yes the hatch clears....if it dosen't, you've installed it wrong as every unit/system is prefit for fit & finish.
.
Again, always available via "contact us" button on website and by phone number listed on website for such questions and faster replies.
.
Hope this helps!

Thanks Detour!
I've had 2 emails in the last month and a half that I could'nt reply to because their return email address was either mis-spelled or incomplete, one was from Australia, the other unknown. If you're Anthony, you'll have your email replied to shortly.

I got it. It was in my junk folder.

Those angles are much better. Thanks for helping me build confidence in the product. I am looking to buy one sometime mid-next year.
