I have a chance to snag a '90 xj. It has a brand new aal 4.5" rc lift (eventually swap in a bastard pack). Its a 2dr 5sp with 171000. The floor boards are rusted through. It has a reese hitch in rear. I haven't gotten it to run yet but it turns over good. The tcase is siezed. It also has a 4x4 posi lock system that replaces the front vaccuum. Oh, its a 4.0, I wouldn't buy a 4 banger haha. I'm just looking for a beater I don't have to worry about scratching or denting it. Oh, and no title. Burnt down in house.

Deal Howie lol For what your looking for seems pretty good I have a 90 that has treated me well after the general maintenance issues for me (rear main seal oil pan gasket and no cooling fans o and the vacuum 4x4 issue) It has treated me well no issues aside from me not realising i broke a transmission cooling line and running it for several miles ruining the tranny but that was my bad Stupid stupid me

but back on topic I say buy it

Oh, I also have an extra tcase and auto tranny.

 

Without title the only thing I would use it for is a parts truck but for 375 that is a good price. I would buy it.

 

It will be a trailer queen. My 2000 is just in too good of shape right now to beat on it and that's why I want it.

 

If the title was lost in a fire you and the previous owner can contact the DMV and get a duplicate title.

 

That's what I figured. It's my girlfriend's uncle anyway so we're good on that.

oh and the previous owner can just walk into DMV and get the title reprinted. i've had to do it more than once or twice.

 

Well, It's not "brand new", it hasn't been used since the lift has been on. There's just a little surface rust on the shocks and springs. Well you guys have pretty much made up my mind. I'll post some pics later thanks!

 

Went and got the jeep yesterday. The ring and pinion is shot in the front end so I'm gonna have to swap in my other axles.

Oh and we had a bad incident, haha! I'll post pictures later if I can but they're crappy. The jeep rolled off the front of the trailer! We had to use a hi-lift and my atv's winch to get it back up. It was pretty funny and scary at the same time.

Almost forgot about this thread. Haha. We had a few issues when we loaded it. Fun times... used a hi lift and the winch on my fourwheeler to get it back up. Pulled the front diff and found this too. Still haven't got it running. Brought it home and it tried to start a couple times then the starter stopped engaging the flywheel. I pulled the starter and tested it and it works fine but when I put it in still doesn't work. Flywheel looks good too.
