Default Daily driver restoration questions

I have a 89 xj 4.5 lift on 33s that was beat to crap.. Tons of problems fixed and tons of problems arising... Do you guys think it will be possible to restore her to her glory days or should I just make a river rat out of it?.... I know with lift and over sized tires there are adhere effects and I accept that but as far as being reliability wise is my concern... I have a motor/tranny/transfer on its way from a 91 (yes I know the 91 is ho)... I'm just worried I'm going to keep trying to make a nice thing out of junk

Previous owners did not respect her... The transfer case is out in it but my main concern is the steering and death wobble issue... Once I get the steering part fixed I feel as if everything else should fall in place but you never know... I just installed a drop pitman arm and when I went to test out out I blew the power steering pressure hose... Also as everyone knows when you buy a used vehicle it has a piece of the previous owner with it forever... Ie wires were there shouldn't be and not wires were there should be and same for hoses

I would be thinking about the amount of money, stuck in to restore her to her glory days. Verses the actual value! Here's mine '91 limited, I inherited in 2008 with 64,000 miles. (my mother owned it for 14 years before me, I'm the third owner. and have all the records since it's birth) I've already fixed the usual problems, Sagging headliner, Comp/temp in the overhead console, replace the crappy stereo, and put in HID headlights. When I checked it's value in KBB in '08, it was only listed at $2000 to $2500 (Because it was a limited) I, myself plan on keeping this forever, because of sentimental reasons. And as of yesterday it's at 70,800 miles. Attachment 39653

Anything is possible. Just a matter of money and time. Do you have a lot of both?

I'm going to tell you right now, DO NOT waste your money on a steering stabilizer to cure the death wobble issue. Now, that being said, it's hard to fix up a daily driver when it is your daily driver at the time of fixing it up. It can be done, but you have to plan ahead. You can't start an engine swap on Sunday at 3 in the afternoon and then expect to drive it to school or work Monday morning. If it is your only mode of transportation, you have to make sure you have everything you need to get what ever job you're trying to get done without having to go to the parts store for some little item that you need, but they're sold out of that special little thing you require. Even your best buddies will get tired of driving you around in their Hondas because your POS Jeep is still broken (Honda drivers like to smell their own farts and think they're better than everybody else).
