Default D-rinds shackels?

How's it going I have a little problem with people stealing d-rings off my rig. I am in college and for some reason drings are a hot commodity over here. I have had 3 stolen off my bumper. I've also had to modify my winch so that people cant pull it out while I'm parked somewhere. Anyway I was wondering if there was a way to modify my drings so that they won't be stolen as easy? So some kind of locking mechanism. Thanks for the help!

Dont put them on till you need them. Simple, yet highly effective. Seriously, hide them

I just tighten mine real tight, I put a bar through the hole at end of the pin and crank it down. Haven't had a problem yet

i thought that a couple of times too. come out to missing shackle on the front. but then another time, one shackle was so loose, the pin was only a couple of threads to falling out.

maybe you're just losing them rather than someone stealing them?

i now tighten mine with an adjustable.

X2 on the loc tite. And use the red! I have had a few ripped off, now I only get the screw together ones and coat the threads with red loc tite. Never had one walk off again! I wouldn't weld them, I have had to take mine off and use them to put two straps together, it was hard enough to get it apart with loc tite let alone weld.

I had a problem with people stealing my D-Rings on my other rigs, I found a very simple solution, I kept them in my recovery gear bag until they were needed. I never had one stolen after that !

If you want to keep them on your rig, Expect them to get stolen at some point.

if your setup allows you to run a chain through both shackles and pull the chain tight with your winch maybe?
