Cylinder misfires
I have the typical cylinder misfires for the 01 xj.
Rough idle after running for 10-20 min or in stop & go traffic.
Idle fine after reving it up.
&My CEL on
I have been looking around on here & other Fourm & found out that back in 04 they did a recall on the heat shield or something like that, that causes the misfires in cyl. #3
I'm wondering if Chrysler will still fix it free of charge or am I going to have to pay?
If anyone knows about the re call please let me know.
Thanks

The heat shield doesn't fix it 100%, I have it (PO installed) and I still get the misfire from time to time, but worth it, just call a dealership and give em' your vin.
