Custom Sub Box
I was wondering if anyone has a solution to my problem. My ZJ used to have amazing bass, but after I chopped it I haven't really found a way to put my subs back in. I need a box to put two 12s in and a nice design. I was thinking about a back seat center console design, but open to any suggestions.

The cubic footage required for one 12" sub pretty much excludes a simple console extension, let alone two. Are you willing to eliminate your back seats and use the space for your sound system? I don't think there's any way to effectively use those 12s and have room for useable rear seats.

That's not true at all. You can't make that statement without knowing either the T/S parameters of the subs and graphing it out, or what subs they are. Several companies out there have 12''s that require tiny boxes. However, I would opt to run one 12'' ported, down firing. If you get me dimensions of the area you wish to use, the sub and amp you are using or plan too, i'll draw something up for ya.

Agreed, but I did say "pretty much". My thought was that the width of the 12 would be his downfall. Add to that 1.5 inches of enclosure material and he'd be pushing 14 inches. It may fit but the first time he hits a bumpy trail his rear passengers are gonna hate him.
Had this running through my head all day and suppose you could widen the base (assuming Lyferxb9s's suggestion of down-firing) and slim it as it rises into the seating area. Not simple, but doable depending on the sub(s) and recommended enclosure capacity.

You could make the enclosure as wide as the sub. IE a 12'' sub can be put into an enclosure that is 12.5'' Youll just be using the sides of the enclosure to mount the sub. What sub and amp are you going to run? and give me some dimensions to work with so I can graph this out and see if its doable
