your not going to be using the bumper caps with a custom bumper and bushwackers, but again I really recommended going to jcr's website they have a good selection of armor, rustys also has some

I got a really nice 3/4" steel stock-looking bumper on ebay. It was $200 shipping incl. I got it powdercoated in indy for $85.

Here's the link for it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_1306wt_939

Dont kno how strong that thing is, wouldn't recommend making any hard pulls from it. id make some tie in brackets for it, since it only.mounts to the stock location if u plan on doing some hard pulls, make sure u buy some grade 8 hardware for it too.

After seeing the kind of pickle 99xj4dr got himself into this past weekend... I've been thinking... Do you think a plate behind the frame bolts on the frame would help reinforce a bumper that has been bolted onto the stock mounts at all?

Dude, its strong... trust me... Im just concerned now that the factory mounts won't be able to hold it if Im tugging on it.
