Hi guys I made this battery tie down after not being able to find a tie down for my cherokee in the junk yard and the ones at my local auto stores not fitting. I am considering making a bunch of them and selling them. Do you guys think there would be much interest? How much do you think people would pay for them? Thanks!

As a good number of people run Optima batteries, you might want to also make sure they fit them, too. Would increase your potential customer base.

I'm concerned with your design, which looks like it would be easy to short-circuit something. The metal looks like it's just about touching both the negative and positive terminals clamps?

Well, yeah, I guess that would keep it in place!

My Optima battery cases and hold downs are made of Billet Alum just for them have one in my race car.

My XJ didn't have any when I bought it just went to AutoZone and bought one it fit my 99 just fine, like factory.
