I searched throughout the forum for a thread about this and did not find one soo.....Anyone come up with ideas for some cup holders? I know some don't have some including mine
but I don't know what year the decided to put them in either, but my idea was getting a center console that had some and replace the one that I have in there now. And I have used the one that hangs off to the passenger side which sucks and falls off
and the one that covers the e-brake I just don't like it just seems to get in the way.

May not be that simple. I'm pretty sure the e-brake handle is offset in '97+, and centered in '96 down. Might be easy to move, but I would want to check with someone who has done it to be sure. Just my 2 cents
Yes, it was an OEM add on. PNW Jeeper, your attached image wasn't visible so I added another one here. Oh, and I have 2 of these for sale by the way. $8.00 + shipping, plus a long list of other XJ parts on this thread https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f73/xj...e-sale-161667/
Flared 3" PVC and about 2 min with a hole saw and air saw. Had to lose the rear heat tube for it, but who cares. Best interior mod I've done on any XJ. Fits everything from cans to bottles to those huge flared cups fast food places sometimes have.
The one that screws down over the ebrake sucks. Nothing fits well in it and it makes using the ebrake a total pain in the ***.

It looked like there was more to it then that. Like what is that in the circled area of the photo? It kind of looks like threaded metal. Is that what it is; a pre-threaded metal pipe with a PVC fitting for the cup holder? And I kind of wanted to see a picture from the other side. But hey, I'm sure I could figure it out on my own.

Got these from an 89-95 Taurus. Had to do some cutting in the dash and remove the vent. The downside is I no longer have use of any dash vents and the heat only works out of the defroster and the floor simultaneously. I didn't care about losing the vents since my XJ didn't come with AC and we'll see how the heat works on the next cold morning.
