My buddies 95 4.0L 5 speed doesn't seem to want to start.
It cranks and has electricity going to the dash but the battery light and engine light doesn't come on at first. The battery light starts to flash (dim at first) but gets brighter and the check engine light flashes for a good minute. Then they both stop flashing and stays on and it finally starts.

It's getting fuel but no spark.
It has a new cap and wires and we've tried a replacement coil but still no difference.

 

He already changed the Crank Case Position Sensor and that wasn't it

 

Well it might just be the battery and/or battery connections. Try to jump start and see what happens. A good crank doesn't always mean battery is healthy.

 

I had this same problem on my 91. Turned out to be the cable going to the starter. Check it/replace it.

 

Well took all day and found out that it's something to do with the fuel system and the electrical work. Something to do with pressurizing the system and the relay rapidly clicks but it starts now
