when I bought mine the guy sold me on the fact that their lugnuts sit differently than the stock ones and advised me not to run the stock ones.
so I just decided to stop being a cheap *** and get some shiny new ones that look good haha

I have soft 8s but didnt change the lug nuts when I put em on. The kind of lug nuts I have are the closed "acorn" style. the reason these are required is they actually fit down inside the rim when tightened down...if that makes sense.

You dont need different nuts, the stock ones will do just fine. Locking nuts are just a pain in the ***, the keys either break or get lost then it turns into a huge pain in your *** to change a flat on the side of the highway.

There are a couple different kinds of seats on lug nuts.
