I used a flat razor to get mine off. I used stuff call Goof Off. It isn't something I would use on a new car or show car, bit for a Jeep...should be fine. Patience is also something you'll have to apply. I took my time to avoid scratches.

+1 on the eraser wheel.
Get one from local auto paint or detailer store.
Be careful you can burn the paint with it if you use too much speed and pressure.

Patience and a heat gun to get it off then Goo Gone to get the goo gone.
