I was at the local salvage yard yesterday scoping a few parts, and see this 96 two door XJ, though its a 2wd.. .
I went home and got to thinking, man that thing was not abused it did not belong there. Thinking why didn't you ask him what he wanted for it and if he had a title...
So I went back today and gave it a more serious look and asked about the title, YES, cool I hate bonded titles. No rust, not even durty underneath, this thing hasn't ever seen a dirt road I think...
I asked if would just sell it to me, again Yes, I started wondering about a price as he pondered it and hoped he did not thing it had a gold frame.
He popped a $400 price, and knowing the price of scrap thats only $100 more than crusher price and he would deliver it for me free.
How could I pass it up, besides I have a 96 behind the house with to many doors and a hard life on the body, so what it needs an overhaul I can do that with my eyes closed.
So he delivers it in the morning.

 

Awesome, it deserves a better fate than that field.
