If bending 3/4" emt conduit, how far down the pipe do I set the mark to set the bend.
I am taking 10' pieces and cutting them at 6' for the sides and using the 4' pieces for the frt and back cross rails.
So how far down the 6' pieces to I go to start the bend
Thanks
Rich

not all of mine was perfect but its just conduit. didnt take but a little tweaking to get them "twisted" straight to line up. even with them a little messed up your going to have the parts that connect the bottom to the top will hold them back into place. its just conduit not DOM. but i also welded mine together too. i too looked at them prebent ones but adds up for trying to make a cheap roof rack.

From where you want the bend to end: 5" extra for 1/2, EMT 6" for 3/4. It won'tbe terrible getting the bend to line up correctly, though I highly suggest a little torpedo level, a square, and working on a durable level floor. I hate conduit bending lol (apprentice electrician.)
