cleaning plastic door and cargo panels
All,
I would like to clean the plastic door and cargo panels in our GC. What do you suggest? Also, once clean, can In apply Armor All or a similar product to help them resist dirt and scuff?
Thx-

The best thing I have found to clean marks off door panels are Mr. Eraser sponge/pads and Vinylex. NEVER EVER NEVER use any Armorall product, it is shiny, slippery and it ENHANCES UV rays and actually causes plastic to break down over time!!!!

From what i seen from Armorall its a magnet for dust and every dashboard i used it on cracked with in 2 years. Now if its not meguiars or mothers i won't use it.The mr cleaner eraser thing i haven't tried yet but it works good on a lot of stuff you wouldn't think it would. How bad are the door panels your trying to clean?

Never use armor all. The wax in it will hear up so much more and end up ruining your interior in the long run.
I literally use Pledge to clean my interior. It doesn't contain any wax or other harmful chemicals for plastic. You don't get an outrageous shine at all. And the Jeep smells awesome afterwards haha.

Mine were so dirty that I just pulled them out and cleaned them with good old soap and water (and one of those scrubby sponges). Took way less time and I got them cleaner than I ever could if i used interior dressing.
Simple green did WONDERS on getting the dirt out from all the cracks and pores of the vinyl. Finished with some Poorboys Natural Look dressing (my favorite interior dressing).

You know the plastic that people have on couches? I saw a Nissan Altima once that had all the seats and entire carpet covered! Craziest thing I've ever seen
protection?
I vote for pull apart and scrub with a scrub sponge. Simply green or mild soap / warm water. Be sure to rinse or wipe off leftover residue then seal with whatever these guys recommend.
I use a warm damp hand towel then that scrub sponge with a lot of elbow grease and towel dry. NO "armor all".
