The hardest part is deciding if I want to go with off road only mods or try to keep it street legal...if its not street legal then I wont care what it looks like really as long as it wheels good

Its all good I didn't specify very good...yea the top will stay on..just making it into a truck and didn't understand how the mj can not "fold up like a taco" lol then why would my xj..its the same dang thing right just different body parts..idk prob not but yea just a truck like thing, or something close lol

this is what i thought you were going for, except thered be a windshield, that would obviously need a cage
but this is the design that i wanted and one of my favorite xj's, he has a cage, but wouldnt this be supportive enough without a cage?

yea thats what i want to go for, was thinking of pickiing up a hatch from an exploder so i can have a swing out glass window or from a pickup for a slider, have to see how it fits

yea you too, cant wait. make sure your head is outta reach if its your daily, dont wanna get into an accident and smack your head. could be really bad, mines more of a toy then a dd, but i keep it street legal

I have a friend that chopped the rear on his xj and doesn't currently have a cage. He wheels the **** out of it and it still seems pretty straight. But he does have stupid luck with his jeep and it's a beater also...
