Default Cherokee with wood flooring?

It may be a crazy idea but I've always loved the way wood flooring looked in the back of truck, and I've seen a few people do it in a trunk of a car. But has anyone, or know anyone, who has successfully laid it in a jeep. I wanna do just my cargo area and I know it's possible, I just don't know how well it'd look. Any help please??

My suggestion first before laying wood on the floor is to insulate it. The floor gets pretty hot. So hot it melted my camera case behind the front passenger seat.

I think it would look sweet I wanted to do mine with red cedar tongue and groove, but I never had the time.

I just wanted to do my cargo, I have too many people in my jeep to put it under in the rear floorboard. But we have left over cherryish looking flooring from my parents finishing our basement home. I'd love to make this a project, just trying to find someone who has done it before so i can get idea of costs and materials. I'm on a strict high schooler budget but I've been trying to find pics of Cherokees but its not a very common thing!

Should not be hard to do a tongue and groove hardwood style like the stuff they use in home flooring.
Just cut it to size, maybe lay down a plywood subfloor first.

Yeah, I noticed a pattern here on numerous posts that seem like the ads zero in on keywords from the thread topic.

Sort of.. But I'm gonna trim the interior trim to give it a cleaner look, and also I want to keep the bench seat. Ive been reading up on this topic and gotten supplies from here and there. Hopefully going to start soon!

Back seat is still there. It just folds down. See the silver handles to lift it??
